Data mapping and trial migration
A field-to-field spreadsheet is only the start of mapping. The target must preserve what each record means and how records relate. In Datrylo, a customer, order, delivery and invoice can form a connected workflow; migration should test those relationships, not just import separate tables.
A rejected unit needs correction before acceptance

Write the mapping rule
For each source field, record the target field, transformation, default, validation rule and owner. Include external IDs, dates, time zones, currencies, units and statuses. Specify what happens when a value is missing or ambiguous. Keep source files and transformation scripts versioned so a trial can be repeated.
Choose a difficult sample
Include duplicates, inactive contacts, variants, partial orders, backorders and corrected documents. Run the import in a neutralized environment, then follow representative records through the intended workflow. Odoo's export/import guide explains standard import behavior; the business mapping is still project-specific.
Measure the result
Count accepted, rejected and changed records. Reconcile stock and finance separately. Record every exception and the person who resolves it. Only expand to full volume after the sample proves the meaning, links and access controls. Plan a trial migration.
