Audit Trail
An audit trail records who changed or approved something, when it happened and the relevant before-and-after context. It supports investigation but depends on access and retention controls.
A worked example
A practical example to make the concept clear.
| Step | Illustrative record and result |
|---|---|
| Starting record | Record STOCK-DEMO-09 shows a count of 10 units. |
| Change or calculation | At 14:30 on 2 October 2026, example user Sara proposes 9, recording the reason “one damaged unit”; Omar approves it. |
| Meaning and exception | Useful history retains 10 → 9, actor, time, reason, approval and source reference. This is an example of required evidence, not a claim of immutable Datrylo logging. |
Why it matters
Choose a sensitive change such as a plan override or stock correction and trace its actor and reason. Datrylo Manager has audited operator actions; a particular business app's full audit coverage must be checked separately.
Make it practical
Who changed this sensitive value, when, under which authority and with what reason? Test the answer with the exact release and application package under consideration. Explore Datrylo applications.
