ERP for electronics shops
An electronics shop sells products whose identity may matter after the sale. The sales record, stock movement and payment need to be clear; warranty, serial number and repair handling may be just as important. Datrylo's current product demonstrations include a retail POS cash receipt, purchase receipt, sales order and delivery.
One laptop sale; trace the returned unit
See how the workflow connects people, records and decisions.
| Step | Owner, record and exception |
|---|---|
| 1 | Cashier records laptop EL-01 at 500,000 IQD and links the buyer. Warehouse assigns the exact unit serial to the delivery record. |
| 2 | The buyer receives 1 unit. Staff retain the product model, serial, original sale and delivery date as separate identifiers. |
| 3 | A reported battery fault returns that same serial to inspection. Warehouse links the return; the service owner decides repair/replacement under the agreed warranty, not from serial identity alone. |
What belongs in the rollout
Trace the same unit through three movements
Follow one serial-numbered item from receipt to delivery and return.
- Dat/IN/00001 — Receive one unit: Vendors → Dat/Stock.
- Dat/OUT/00003 — Deliver the same unit: Dat/Stock → Customers.
- Dat/IN/00002 — Return the delivered unit: Customers → Dat/Stock; linked to Dat/OUT/00003.
Select the report to read the three operation references, serial and quantities at full size.
Inspect the Done return and its original delivery link. The return moves one unit back into stock.
The sale needs to identify the device that actually leaves.
An electronics showroom sells more than a generic product description. Two televisions with the same model name may belong to different receipts; a demonstration unit may be unavailable for normal sale; an accessory may have a different return condition from the device it accompanies. When checkout and stock records are separate, finding the original transaction becomes a manual search precisely when a customer needs a quick answer.
Build a catalogue that a salesperson and storekeeper can both use.
The right product structure depends on whether a difference changes stock identity, the customer’s choice or merely descriptive information. Too many free-text products make reporting unreliable; too many unnecessary variants make checkout harder.
Design the counter around ordinary sales and difficult exceptions.
Point of Sale can handle the retail transaction, while Sales suits quotations and orders that require follow-up before fulfilment. A shop may need both. Decide how a customer reservation, a business quotation and an immediate counter sale should differ so that staff do not create competing records for the same transaction.
Follow one device
Receive a device from a supplier, record its product details, sell it to a customer and find the record later when the customer returns with a question. If serial tracking is required, demonstrate it on the exact release and check whether the receipt, delivery and customer document preserve the identifier. Include a return or exchange in the test.
Connect store and back office
Retail POS can be reviewed for counter sales, while Inventory and Purchasing support the stock path. A shop that quotes larger orders may also use Sales and CRM. Decide which role can change a price, approve a discount, receive goods or process a return.
Verify specialist work
Datrylo connects customer records, sales, purchasing, inventory and invoices so teams can work from shared information. Its presence is not proof of service intake, parts use or warranty settlement. Test barcode and receipt hardware, payment devices and branch stock on the intended setup. Bring an electronics sale and return to a demo.

Bring the exception to your workflow review
Configure product tracking, serial entry, inspection location and refund rights. Reconcile POS and warehouse records rather than assuming every POS line stores the required serial.
