Logistics and transport: start with the movement record
Logistics and transport work depends on knowing what should move, where it is, who is responsible and what proves delivery. Use Datrylo Inventory to follow receipts, stock movements and customer deliveries. Routing, carrier planning, proof of delivery and freight billing are not established by that basic stock path.
A mispick must not reduce the other client’s stock
See how the workflow connects people, records and decisions.
| Step | Owner, record and exception |
|---|---|
| 1 | Client A has 30 units and Client B has 40 of the same model. Outbound request 3PL-A-05 belongs to A for 5 units. |
| 2 | Picker finds 5 units marked for B. Supervisor stops dispatch and checks the customer ownership/source location before validation. |
| 3 | Correct pick from A leaves A at 25 and B at 40. Any reversal retains the wrong pick reference; a client credit is reviewed separately from the stock correction. |

Map a shipment
Choose an order with a pickup, transfer, delivery location and exception. Define the shipment reference, vehicle or carrier, quantity, timestamps, damaged goods and customer acknowledgement. Ask which system owns each step and what happens when a delivery fails or arrives partially.
Verify the scope
Warehouse stock movement may be part of the process, but a transport management system may be needed for scheduling, tariffs or tracking. Test the actual devices and integrations used by drivers and dispatchers. Review a movement workflow.
