Manufacturing: follow materials into finished goods
Manufacturers need to understand demand, material, production and finished stock as one process. Plan a bill of materials, create a manufacturing order and record finished stock with Datrylo Manufacturing.
Plan 20; finish 18; rework 2
See how the workflow connects people, records and decisions.
| Step | Owner, record and exception |
|---|---|
| 1 | Planner opens MO-20 for 20 finished units; BOM requires 3 components per unit, so the material plan is 60 components. |
| 2 | Production records 18 acceptable units and 2 held for rework. Warehouse receives only the 18 released units into saleable stock. |
| 3 | Quality owner links the failed check and replacement component to the rework decision. Extra consumption is recorded before the remaining 2 are released. |

Start with one product family
Map the bill of materials, units, supplier inputs, expected yield and actual output. Include a material shortage or substitution. Decide who may revise the bill, release work and approve deviations. Finance should validate valuation and work-in-progress treatment with the chosen accounting policy.
Separate basic production from specialist work
Assembly and make-to-order production need bills, units, component consumption and output evidence. Pharmaceutical manufacturing additionally needs separately validated regulated records and qualified acceptance;ordinary stock or manufacturing views do not establish that scope. Review the worked manufacturing case and bring your bill and exception to the workflow review.
