Choosing an ERP implementation partner
A capable partner can turn product capability into a working process; an unclear scope can turn any system into a costly project. Datrylo may work with partners and has a commercial interest in this guide. Evaluate a provider on demonstrated delivery and responsibility, not a badge alone.
A decision worksheet to reuse
Adapt this buying checklist to your team, priorities and budget.
| Decision field | Worked example and evidence to request |
|---|---|
| Ownership scorecard | Score 0 = unnamed, 1 = named without deliverable, 2 = named with accepted evidence. Record separate owners for process, data mapping, configuration, training and release decisions. |
| Evidence scorecard | Request a normal order and a partial-delivery exception using ordinary roles. Attach the source references, observed result, unresolved issue and retest owner instead of accepting a slide deck as proof. |
| Example handoff | Partner prepares product mappings; customer warehouse owner checks 10 source kits against 10 target kits and signs the count sheet. Finance approves valuation separately. A mismatch stays open with a named owner. |
| Commercial and support handoff | Name the contracting seller, implementer, software operator and support contact; record deliverables, exclusions and approved service commitments. The Datrylo partner page does not establish a named partner’s contract or certification. |
Ask for evidence of the work
Have candidates map one transaction and one exception using your sample data. Ask who will configure, write custom code, migrate records, train users, test integrations and resolve defects. Review references only with customer permission and distinguish the candidate’s own work from a vendor’s product features.
Get a written acceptance plan, change-control method, administrator handover, data exit plan and support boundary. Clarify ownership of customisations and who tests upgrades. Pricing should separate subscription, implementation, third-party services and ongoing support. Review implementation stages and partner programme scope.
